Wes Jackson
Lead Pastor
Wes, helped launched Church Story in 2022 and serves as the lead pastor. After 17 years of serving on staff at three different churches in Texas, he and a small team decided to start a movement that would recapture what church could be for the average, ordinary person.
Wes leads and speaks with vulnerability and transparency. Despite growing up in church, he would probably tell you that it was the influence of a few real and authentic people who God used to open his eyes to what it really meant to live and love like Jesus. He had always known plenty about God and church, but it was those providential relationships that helped shape how he would live out his own faith in Jesus while introducing others to the same kind of faith. Why? Well, if you were to ask him, you’d hear him say, “I’d be a mess without Jesus and following Him has made an undeniable difference in my life, my marriage, my kids and many of the people I’ve been lucky to know.”
When not serving alongside others at Church Story or preparing to speak, you will find Wes spending time with his family at a sporting event, following Texas Aggie sports, or saltwater fishing with friends.
Wes was raised in far West Texas before attending Texas A&M University, where he met his wife, Brandye. Following graduation, he continued on to earn a Master’s Degree in Christian Education while Brandye earned two Master’s Degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling plus Christian Education. They tied the knot in 2006 and since then, have raised two boys together, Brayden and Camden, along with a goldendoodle named Trooper.
