Kids

Church Story Kids is one team with help in multiple areas, serving families with children from 6 weeks through 5th Grade. This team is committed to creating environments where kids are safe, loved, have fun, and learn about the love of Jesus. The main areas for this team include nursery, preschool, and elementary. Responsibilities include check-in assistance, caring for babies, leading games and activities, leading small groups, teaching, worship, and clear communication with parents/guardians.

Age: 14+, Background Check (Some responsibilities require 18+)

Youth

It is important that middle school and high school students are welcomed and cared for at Church Story, while also engaging the overall function of the church mission. This team is focused on them and serves them by creating environments and experiences where they can connect with others, develop a relationship with God, and continue to take next steps. Responsibilities include leading a small group, leading games and activities, connecting with students at extracurricular activities, planning student events that align with the Church Story mission, and more.

Age: 18+ out of High School, Background Check

Logistics & Setup

This team transforms spaces for Church Story gatherings, providing distraction-free, excellent environments where everyone is comfortable and able to experience God. This team most often creates the first and lasting impression for anyone who shows up to a Church Story gathering or event. Responsibilities include parking lot assistance, set-up/tear-down of all spaces, baptism setup, and facility upkeep.

Guests Experience

The experience of everyone at Church Story, including guests, is an essential focus for the entire church. This team leads the charge by pushing beyond big smiles, a friendly greeting, and hot coffee—God uses this team to set the stage to reach more people and change lives. Responsibilities for this team include greeting, holding doors, ushering, communion setup, baptism experiences, information and wayfinding, and first aid.

Age: 14+ in High School

Media & Production

Excellent environments and engaging experiences require a dedicated team with unique skillsets. Responsibilities include audio engineering, lighting and visual programming, videography, photography, creative planning, and social media resourcing.

Age: 16+

Prayer

True life change does not happen without consistent prayer. While prayer is the responsibility of everyone at Church Story, this team provides covering for gatherings, events, ministries while also planning and implementing specific prayer initiatives throughout the year for full-church participation.
